This site, in English, also allows you to roam the OLAP world. And provides the list of the major OLAP vendors. You have to pay a subscription to see certain pages, which really limits them to the professionals.

From Codework Italia, this downloadable product is a desktop OLAP for the windows platforms.

BI2M
This product from B&M Services is developed to correspond with the last tendencies of data processing, OLAP and Data mining. It is a simple and understandable software product for analysis of large databases with a cube structure. It is used by analysts, managers and researchers to visualize and analyze their data. A tutorial and an evaluation version of the software are available.

Business Objects
The first product of the French company Business Objects allows, since the version 4.0, the access to informations stored in OLAP databases. It offers therefore a solution for interrogation, analysis and reporting of multidimensionnal datas, whatever the OLAP engine selected.

ContourCube and Contour OLAPBrowser
These OLAP components allows end users to perform OLAP and statistical analyses using current data from any relational database. ContourCube calculates a multidimensional hypercube, which is then presented as a grid and/or graph. You can download a trial VCL or ActiveX version. Contour OLAPBrowser is a web-oriented software for data access, analysis and interactive reporting on a single PC, on the local network or on the web. It provides multi-windowed user interface for viewing interactive reports, web pages and MS Office documents in a single application. With OLAPBrowser users can slice and dice through data, make graphical analysis, configure and print multiple reports with sub-second response times.

Cognos Suite
With Powerplay (OLAP tool), Scenario and Impromptu, you get a complete OLAP solution for analysing, querying and reporting data.

Databeacon
This product for web reporting and data analysis is especially suited to the web. OLAP technology and java applets are well integrated. A version of the product is available on the web, with practical examples.

DSS Suite
MicroStrategy provides enterprise decision support system software : With DSS Server, DSS Agent, DSS Objects, ... you have all the tools to build data wahrehouse projects and to connect to main RDBMS.

Oracle Olap
Since Oracle 9i, the OLAP engine is included in the relationnal database. Before this version, the Oracle offer was named Oracle Express. I choose this product to build my multidimentional database in OLAP in practice.

PowerOLAP
Paris Technologies (hello from France) provides this complete and flexible product, enabling end-users to perform fully integrated manipulations through Excel or a Web browser. PowerOlap includes a client tool set for developers and an engine server for multidimensional modeling.

SQL Server
Microsoft's SQL Server 7.0 includes an OLAP component. And SQL Server 2000 is near...
